Duncan, Oklahoma – Brent Justus, founder of Life’s Hope is departing on a Discovery Journey to Thailand and Nepal on July 30, 2010.

The team is scheduled to attend a church service in Bangkok on August 1, where Brent will deliver God’s message. At the close of the service, they must immediately depart for Chiang Mai, Thailand. Life’s Hope received reports that people in nearby villages are dying from water borne diseases and water pollution. Brent has plans to install two water treatment systems in these villages to relieve the human suffering and restore the Hope for the Thai people.

Brent is no stranger to Thailand. In 2008, he traveled to Thailand with missionary David Jacobson to participate in the installation of a water treatment system at a refugee camp with 80,000 people. While in Thailand, Brent plans to visit this camp and ensure the water treatment system is in good repair.

The refugee camp is home to refugees from Burma. These people are known as the Karen people. They have been subject to political persecution in Burma. They fled to the camp in Thailand to avoid violence and death at the hands of ruthless soldiers. They live in tiny overcrowded huts. There is no electricity, running water, lavatories, and only one source of clean, safe, drinking water. There is very little food and the food provided to them limited nutritional value. There is no medical care and very little clothing, blankets, and mosquito nets. Brent will deliver a message of Hope to these people before leaving the camp.

The Discovery Journey team will travel to Katmandu and then to a non-disclosed location near Mount Everest in Nepal. At each location, the team will conduct pastor conferences. The pastors have been invited to the conferences and response to the invitations has been very positive. Pastors that offer help to refugees are often threatened with torture and even death. These front line pastors attending our conference will receive much needed spiritual renewal and encouragement. The team has several meetings planned with local leaders at each location to discuss humanitarian relief.

Brent said in a recent interview, “I believe God is opening a door of opportunity for all of us. When we deliver care to the hopeless and do not ask for anything in return, it restores Hope. Many people have asked me why I travel to their place of hopelessness. My answer to them is simple; God sent me to deliver healing in your body and your soul. I tell them that God loves them and to give thanks to the God that sent me.”

This is an excellent opportunity to for you to share God’s Love while caring for human needs. Life’s Hope is taking applications for individuals and church groups that have the desire to serve God’s people in need.

Make plans to go on a Discovery Journey; it will change your life!
