Dear Life's Hope,
Thank you so much for the incredible blessing of the water purification system! We provide fresh drinking water for thousands in the Delmas area of Port Au Prince. Morningstar Christian Academy/Fishers of Men Ministries serve multiple families and missionaries on our property. Our church building was destroyed and we are currently planning to build a new building at Morningstar. The system will provide drinking water for the thousands that gather here for church services. Our medical clinic will be fully functional and we can continue to provide basic medical care for our community. This fresh, clean water will help us serve our community. Beyond that, we will also be able to offer fresh water to those who are in need around our property. Water was an issue before the earthquake and now we have a permanent solution for many people!

In Conclusion

The earthquake that struck the island nation of Haiti in January 2010 killed 100,000 people and left 1.3 million people homeless. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere with 80% of the population living under the poverty line and 54% in abject poverty. Life’s Hope financial and prayer partners interceded in the days after the earthquake. They were moved to contact Life’s Hope with an outpouring of love in response to news reports of the human suffering in Haiti.

We made three trips to ground zero in the weeks that followed the earthquake. We installed water treatment systems in strategic locations to save the most number of lives. We worked with other humanitarian relief organizations, the United Nations, and local churches, hospitals, schools, and government leaders. We are planning return trips to help in the cleanup effort and to rebuild churches, medical care facilities, and orphanages. We have a list of volunteers ready to make the trips and we have coordinated with our contacts in Haiti who are charged with transportation, lodging, food, and assignment details.

We continue to travel to Africa to provide more humanitarian relief with water purification systems and medical care.

Our website has attracted visitors from 41 states and 53 countries. Our list of contacts has grown from this effort. We have commitments from our financial partners including individuals, companies, churches, and other organizations.

We exceeded our business plan estimates and we are clearly on a path to make a difference in the lives of millions of people; thanks to our many supporters.

Re: Looking Back At 2009 - 2010

I must honestly say that Life's hope has not only brought clean water to people here in Africa but also God has used that to bring many to Himself, the true Living Water. He is faithful. Keep us the good work and God bless you mightly. We love and appreciate the work yo are doing. The Places you put the systems in especially in Tanzania would love any kind of Mosquito nets for protecting against Mosquitoes coz of malaria. Blessings and praying for you all big time.
